HPV GeneXpert: 

Highly sensitive test to detect DNA from the

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) high-risk serotypes .

Type of sample:

endocervical exudate. Sample taken by the doctor, collected in PreservCyt solution provided by the Inmaculada Concepción® Clinical Laboratory

Reading of the result/Interpretation of the result:

Example:

HPV16             Positive

HPV 18-45        positives

HPV HR HPV   positives

indicates that the DNA of  all high-risk serotypes is detected in  the sample.

The DNA may or may not be detected independently of each other.

Interpretation of equipment controls

The test detects the DNA of high-risk serotypes:

16,18,31,33,35,39,45,51,52,56,58,59,66 and 68. Does not detect low risk.

Detects the DNA of Mycobacterium tuberculosis resistant to Rifampicin ,

Type of samples:

Sputum, bronchial lavage, tissue and fluid samples.

Reading of the result/Interpretation of the result:

Example:

MTB Detected: DNA was detected from  Mycobacterium  and is resistant to Rifampicin.

Highly sensitive test to detect DNA from the

Detection and differentiation of Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG) .

Type of sample:

mucus and vaginal discharge  cervical and also urine. The sample can be taken by the doctor or the patient.  (Ask for means of transport and instruction sheet  Xpert CT/NG to lab)

FOUND or NOT FOUND

Xpert®  HIV-1:

Detects the DNA of Mycobacterium tuberculosis resistant to Rifampicin ,

Type of samples:

Sputum, bronchial lavage, tissue and fluid samples.

Reading of the result/Interpretation of the result:

Example:

MTB Detected: DNA was detected from  Mycobacterium  and is resistant to Rifampicin.
